The 34 foot J/105 is a fun yet forgiving performance boat that is fantastic to sail. Raced around
the world according to strict class one-design rules as well as competing inshore and offshore
under IRC and other handicap classes, she is the absolute first choice for shorthanded racing
sailors. Equally, if you are someone who just wants a boat that really gets up and goes, you
need look no further. The J/105 started the bowsprit revolution at J Boats and we have not
looked back!
The J/105 offers low maintenance with a simple layout, has great performance, a large cockpit,
predictable handling characteristics and makes no pretences of being a distance cruiser or live-aboard. There is less to maintain as all the extra cabinetry and weight of things you won’t use
aren’t there. So instead of varnishing toe-rails and troubleshooting systems you’ll be enjoying a
sail with friends. Often imitated but never bettered, the J/105 is simply more fun to own
meaning of course that you will use your boat more!
